The golden hour

Every group chat has a moment when the jokes are landing, the links are multiplying, and nobody is asking what the plan is. This is the golden hour. Protect it.

The slow fade

One person sends a photo of their lunch. Someone reacts with a tiny icon. Then the chat goes very quiet, not because anyone is upset, but because everyone has remembered they have laundry.

The gentle return

A week later, someone will send a picture of a strangely shaped potato and the whole cycle begins again. The group chat is not dead. It is simply in airplane mode.

Small things count. So does sending the silly picture.
